Nokia Launches 41 MP PureView 808 Smartphone

Nokia India today launched its much awaited 41 MP camera smartphone – the Nokia PureView 808 - at an event held in the capital. With this, Nokia has become the world's first manufacturer to launch the highest resolution camera smartphone. The company intends to cement its position in the market with the launch of this latest product.


The smartphone features high-resolution 41 MP sensor with Nokia PureView imaging technology and high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and runs the Symbian belle operating system. Apart from this, the smartphone sports a 10.2 cm (4-inch) AMOLED multi-touch capacitive display with Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by a 1.3GHz processor. It comes with an internal 16GB memory expandable up to 48GB with a microSD card. The smartphone is also accompanied with a Nokia Tripod Mount HH – 23 for better capturing of images.





Its key applications includes camera, gallery, photo and video editors, calendar, contacts, music player, Internet, messaging, photos, Nokia store, maps, videos, web tv, office document viewers, mail, radio and more.


Nokia 808 has a stereo music player supporting MP3, M4A, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+. WMA besides Dolby headphone for surround sound with headphones. Similarly, to play games, one can make use of its touch interface.


The PureView smartphone will be available in two colours – Black and White - at the retail outlets starting tomorrow at a price point of Rs 33,899.
