If you're comfortable using the command prompt, you can use the DOS command: subst. A better and easier way to create the drive association is using a small program called Visual Subst. It's basically a GUI front-end to the subst command.

How to work google search engine

How to work Google search engine If you aren’t interested in learning how Google creates the index and the database of documents that it accesses when processing a query, skip this description. I adapted the following overview from Chris Sherman and Gary Price’s wonderful description of How Search Engines Work in Chapter 2 of The Invisible Web (CyberAge Books, 2001).
Google runs on a distributed network of thousands of low-cost computers and can therefore carry out fast parallel processing. Parallel processing is a method of computation in which many calculations can be performed simultaneously, significantly speeding up data processing. Google has three distinct parts:
  • Googlebot, a web crawler that finds and fetches web pages.

How to add google map in my place

How to add google map in my place After adding an option to edit locations, Google Maps allows people to add places. The option seems to work only for the US and you can enter few details about the local business or the place: address, name, phone, website and category. Google promises that "once you save your place, the whole world can find your addition by searching for it within a few minutes."

To find this feature, go to Google Maps, search for an address (e.g.: Madison Ave, NY) and you'll see a new option in the left sidebar: "Can't find what you're looking for? Add a place to the map."

A Guide To Sharing or Linking to a Google Map

How to Share a Google Map and Link to it Right, so you go to maps.google.com, type in a location, hit the return key and boom, there’s the map! Now, need to share it, or link to it? Simple, just copy paste the URL from the browser address bar (may be shorten it too) and then, share it….correct?
Well, if only it was that simple and convenient. Unfortunately, it isn’t. Even after you find the location on the map, the URL on the browser address bar still reads map.google.com. Yep, try it and see for yourself.

Keyword Research Tool Review: Google AdWords

Keyword Research Tool Review: Google AdWords Keywords are important. I’ve heard from several potential clients recently who have talked to other “professionals” who told them keywords are no longer important for SEO, and that good content is all you really need.
Here’s the thing. Keywords are language. They’ll always be important because words are how we communicate with each other.
So until someone invents the microchip that can be implanted in your brain and read your thoughts without using words, you’ll need to think about language in marketing. And I can only hope that those potential clients were told this by one seriously misguided vendor.

Google Updates its PageSpeed Insights Extension Following last year’s preview, Google has just released version 2.0 of its PageSpeed Insights Chrome extension, which helps Web developers discover different aspects of their sites that may be slowing pages to a crawl.
According to Google, PageSpeed Insights is able to analyze “all aspects of the page load, including resources, network, DOM, and the timeline.” The extension integrates right into Chrome’s buit-in Developer Tools, and has the potential to save a lot of time for the collective users of popular sites. On the Web, speed is everything.
